bgo ‘Boss’ Verne Troyer Passes Away At 49Known best for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers film franchise, Verne Troyer was an actor with massive sway in Hollywood. So popular was the pint-sized icon, in fact, that he even took on the prestigious role of Boss at bgo Online Casino back in 2014.

It has recently been confirmed that Troyer passed away on Saturday, April 21. He was 49 years old, and led a rich and successful career starring in blockbusters such as The Love Guru, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The actor also more recently became a household name in the online gambling world as bgo’s most beloved Boss to date.

Despite being just 2ft 8in tall, Troyer managed to establish a highly successful acting career. In a 2015 interview with The Guardian, he explained that his short stature never bothered him as he grew up in a family in which he was not treated differently to his siblings in any way because of it.

Troyer’s History With bgo Casino

The bgo icon’s family revealed the tragic news on social media. Troyer’s cause of death is not yet known, but in their statement, his loved ones emphasised that he was always optimistic, and always ready to make others happy and bring smiles to their faces.

Verne Troyer joined the team at bgo Casino back in 2014, just as the site revealed the culmination of a massive revamp project to bring plenty of attention to its new Boss. This Boss had the essential task of taking care of players – but also ensuring that they did not win too much, either. This notion was perfectly in line with Troyer’s Mini-Me character in the classic Austin Powers movies, adding extra fun to the casino’s atmosphere.

Fans And Friends Send Condolences

It was at this time, a few years ago, that bgo launched an excellent ad campaign titled ‘Beat the Boss’, inviting prospective players to join the casino and try their luck at winning big and putting the ‘Big Boss’ in his place. Over the years, Troyer became an unforgettable part of the casino’s branding, while also bringing even more smiles to its family of players.

Troyer has long battled with health issues, but his premature death has nonetheless devastated his family, friends and colleagues. Hundreds of fans and personal friends have expressed their condolences and shock through social media, sending support and love to Verne’s family during an incredibly difficult time.
