In mid-December 2015 Yggdrasil Gaming was issued a license by the UK Gambling Commission. This license allows Yggdrasil the opportunity to offer players in the UK access to its proprietary gaming platform, and all its world-renowned casino games. For Yggdrasil this license has been issued at just the right time, as the brand has been looking for ways to increase both its mobile and online presence in the gaming industry, and to reach a wider audience.

Yggdrasil Gaming may be a relatively young company, but it’s been hugely successful and is highly ambitious. The brand splits their development work between their base, which is located in Malta, and a studio in Poland while they are well known for creating quality games with superb graphics and smooth mechanics. At present, Yggdrasil provides their online and mobile games and lotto software to some of the world’s most prestigious casinos, and now, a number of UK based casinos are starting to go live with their slots games. Players who have previously missed out on experiencing what Yggdrasil has to offer can enjoy their games legally, at respected UK casinos.

Although the UK Gambling Commission issued Yggdrasil a license in December, the first slots games are only going live now at a few choice casinos. The UK Gambling Commission may have approved the license but they still took time to approve the games that would be released to the UK market. Additionally, it also took time to integrate new slots games into exiting casino software and ensure they run satisfactorily. Players in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales can enjoy an assortment of Yggdrasil online and mobile slots at six casinos, and Fredrik Elmquist, Yggdrasil’s CEO is confident that they’ll soon go live with a number of other operators.

Yggdrasil is renowned for their online and mobile slots, and these games have been the first to go live in the UK. Amongst the many popular titles that can be enjoyed by local players are Vikings Go Wild, Chibeasties, Holmes & the Stolen Stones, Dark Joker Rizes, Nirvana and Cyrus the Virus.

Having captured the attention of the UK market and gone live with a selection of slots, Yggdrasil looks set to continue to grow from strength to strength in the online and mobile gaming industry.
